Queensland Heeler
I love this dog. He is a Queensland Heeler otherwise known as an Australian Cow Dog. They have a fascinating history! Also known as Blue Heelers (there is also a branch known as Red Heelers), they are working dogs and high maintenance as far as exercise goes. They are a breed now unto themselves but made up of many breeds including Dingo and Dalmation! There is a white mark on the top of their head that is called a Bentley Mark. They are smart and loyal and the best frisbee dogs ever.

This is my son's dog, Lieutenant Lunchbox, but we call him Lunch for short (just don't call him Dinner!). My son, Tyson, got him about a year ago from a former girlfriend. Tyson now attends Arizona State University.
Fortunately he LOVES snow!
He also loves tug of war and we do this crazy game of hide and seek, and chase through the house.
Isn't he handsome?
Loyal and gentle (when you tell him to be). Here he is with one of his babies! A stuffed cow but he has already consumed the two horns and ears!
We are thinking of getting him a buddy.
Looking for some Christmas gifts we found a couple of interesting t-shirt ideas like the one below:

So I came across your blog by inserting heeler into a search engine. I am looking for a blue heeler for my dad. He has cancer and has recently retired. He needs a friend since his heeler passed away several months ago. If you have any info about where I might be able to find an adult heeler please let me know. My dad can't train and clean up after a puppy. Love the post about your dog. He is very handsome and seems quite personable. :)
